I mailed our contract to Bethany today, making it feel very official! We had to overnight it ($30!!) so that we wouldn't have to pay the adoption fees that are going up by double, starting January 1, 2014. Our social worker said that if Bethany received our contract by December 31, 2013, then we wouldn't have to pay the increased amount! Since our local office is out of Chicago, the fees are already much higher than almost anywhere else (that's Chicago government for ya!), so I sure am grateful for "Next Day Air!"
