At church this past Sunday, a video was shown that tugged on my "heartstrings" again! Our pastor, Danny, asked a question, that a year ago, I probably couldn't have answered. He asked: "What are you passionate about?" What is your passion? It wasn't until last November, on Orphan Sunday, that I knew in my heart what I was passionate about. The cause of the fatherless. As they showed the video, the tears came rolling (and if I'm honest, I was pretty much a blubbering mess!) and I couldn't help but think how I wanted to adopt them all! I asked Danniger the other day if it was too big a dream to want to adopt all of the orphans in the world ;) Well, ok.....maybe not adopt them all, but just hold, hug, and love them all! If all goes as planned (and it is God's will) next year's vacation is going to be a short-term mission trip to a third-world country to visit an orphanage. Where we can love on these sweet children who have no parents to love them. Anyone who wants to join us is more than welcome! Our God Almighty is so awesome and so full of love! I just want to take in as much of His love as possible and then share the "overflow" with these sweet children. As John Piper says, "Love is the overflow of joy in God that meets the needs of others!" Oh, and how I want to share my joy in God with them all!!
